How to share an iPhone prototype with a link.

With Prototo, sharing a native iPhone prototype takes one click. Publish gives you a link and a QR code, and anyone opens it in the free Prototo app on their iPhone, where it runs natively. There is no developer account, TestFlight, code signing or review.

Steps

  • In Prototo Desktop, click Publish. The first time, you sign in with email or Google.
  • Copy the link, or show the QR code.
  • The person you share with opens it on their iPhone. If they do not have the free Prototo app yet, the share page walks them through getting it from the App Store.
  • The prototype runs natively on their phone, with real gestures and haptics.
  • Change something and publish again. The same link now opens the new version.

What it costs

Building is free and unlimited. Your first publish starts a 7-day trial with no card. After that, Plus is $8 a month for unlimited sharing, and Team is $16 per seat a month with a shared library. Links are permanent.
