Prototo iOS app
The Prototo iOS app collects nothing. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no crash reporting. When you open a prototype link, the app fetches only the prototype data being shared with you. Everything else stays on your device.
Prototo CLI
The Prototo command-line tool collects nothing. No telemetry, no usage reporting, no crash reporting.
prototo.app website
The marketing website at prototo.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages get traffic. Standard page-load data (browser, country, referrer) is sent to Google. No personally identifiable information is collected by us.
Accounts and login
You can create a free Prototo account to save your prototypes and share them as links. You never need an account to build prototypes locally; logging in is only for saving and sharing them.
You can log in with Google or with your email address. When you log in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account. That is all we request, and we do not access anything else in your Google account. When you log in with email, we use the email address you provide.
We use your name and email to log you in, save the prototypes and share links tied to your account, and apply your plan’s limits. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time via the support page.
Share links
When a designer creates a share link with proto share, the link’s metadata (project name, the designer’s display name, and a connection URL) is stored on prototo.app for the duration of the share. This metadata is visible only to anyone who has the share link. Links can be stopped at any time by the designer.
